This is Chris Vincent. On the right there. Somehow, years ago, we started applauding Chris. I mean, large groups of people, in public places, would start very loudly clapping and yelling, “Chris Vincent everyone! Chris Vincent! Chris Vincent two thousand and nine!” Or whatever year it was. Nowadays we call him every new years and leave a very long and I’m sure, very loud, message from a large group of folks screaming at him. Please, don’t ask where this tradition came from because I really can’t remember. All I know is that I am now calling him out on my blog. Chris Vincent 2010! Yeah!

This is Daniel. He’s an environmentalist. Daniel focuses on Sustainability using public policy. I think. He’s up in Chi-town getting involved in all the green initiatives that are coming out of there. Pretty sweet!

So a friend of mine has this thing with quiche. He’s always saying that it’s widely know and agreed upon that real men don’t eat quiche. Apparently it’s for women only. The problem is, quiche is good and he knows it too. That’s why he orders it so often at The Beauty Shop for Sunday brunch. We all started calling each other “quiche eater” so I figured, hells bells, I’ll make a button for it! So, here is quiche from The Beauty Shop along with my quiche eater button. And some fruit. Don’t ever forget the fruit.

Yeah, I took a lot of photos while I was in Chi-town. There are still a lot to post. I took this one of an alley underneath the elevated train tracks in Chicago. I liked the mud, dirt, dumpster, and trash that was being lit up by an awesome purple and gold light from the setting sun.

In honor of my having been subpoenaed twice by the Cook County State’s Attorney, I’m posting yet another photo from that eventful trip to Chicago that is now causing me all sorts of headache. Fucking punk kid smashed windows out of twenty-three cars and now I have to pay travel costs to go to Chicago so he’ll go to jail for it. By witnessing it and telling the cops, I’m not becoming a victim of this fucker myself. I didn’t show up for the first court date because I didn’t have $400 for a plane ticket. The next one is in August. Guess I can take the bus or something. Jesus Christ this makes me mad.

The Beauty Shop is one of my favorite places in Memphis to grab a bite to eat. The chef, Tim, always makes some great stuff. Plus, he’s super friendly.
